Second Nature Mornington Shaker Kitchen
We recently fitted a Second Nature Mornington Shaker kitchen for a client in Ascot, Berkshire, a charming, timeless classic with a distinctive ash-grain, finished in Graphite and Dry Rose.
The client’s brief was for a a classic style kitchen that made a bold statement, it had to complement their Victorian home and have that Wow-factor. They didn’t want shiny chrome finish on any accessories and they told us that they often hosted parties and used lots of ice.
We suggested the Graphite and Dry Rose combination, when the client saw the display in our design centre they loved it! It tocked all the design brief boxes, classic – tick, bold statement – tick, wow-factor – tick.
Patinated brass Quooker boiling water tap, complemented with the brass door handles and Faber Chloe ‘Old Brass’ extractor. We installed a Liebherr integrated freezer with plumbed in ice-maker and 60cm wine cabinet with a 54 bottle capacity! The client preferred to source and purchase the other kitchen appliances and accessories.
We had a few challenges in installing the new kitchen, delays to the fitting of the floor meant installing the kitchen slightly higher and returning to fit plinths.
The screws supplied with the handles needed altering to get a perfect looking finish. The Larder didn’t look right when fitted with the colour matched fillers, so our fitter created bespoke paintable versions. In the Utility room, our fitter suggested switching the door handle on installation to improve the layout.
